W skład kapeli, która rozpoczęła działalność od 2015 roku wchodzą – Gaahl (ex Gorgoroth), gitarzyści Lust Kilman i Stian Karstad, basista Frode Kilvik i perkusista Kevin Kvale.

Gaahls Wyrd zapowiedział w Polsce dwa koncerty. Pierwszy 5 marca w klubie „U Bazyla” w Poznaniu, a drugi 6 marca w klubie „Proxima” w Warszawie.
